FES Challenger Salvour & Builders successfully carried out the salvage and stabilization of the Malaysian steel deck barge HARBOUR DOLPHIN, which developed a severe 30–40° port list while at Manila Bay due to cargo shifting and flooding of multiple void spaces.

Upon appointment by the vessel owner, our salvage team immediately conducted underwater inspections, damage assessment, and stability calculations. Through controlled ballasting and de-ballasting operations, water ingress management, and the safe removal of damaged stanchion posts, the barge was successfully restored to an even keel, ensuring its structural stability and preventing further deterioration.

As the vessel was restricted from berthing directly at Manila Harbour Centre Port, FES Challenger developed an alternative cargo recovery solution by chartering a steel deck barge with two assisting tugboats. The team safely discharged and transferred 1,395 bundles of sawn timber over seven successful voyages to Delpan Port without additional damage to the vessel or cargo.
