FES Challenger Salvour & Builders successfully conducted the salvage and refloating of M/TUG AHTS NOAH, which ran aground along the shoreline of Brgy. Casambalangan, Sta. Ana, Cagayan, Philippines.
Following a comprehensive underwater inspection, our team identified hull damage and developed a detailed salvage strategy focused on environmental protection, structural stabilization, and safe vessel recovery. The operation involved the deployment of specialized equipment, including an amphibious backhoe, service pontoon, tugboat, airlifting and power jetting systems, underwater welding equipment, and a team of experienced commercial divers and marine specialists.
Over several weeks of continuous operations, FES Challenger carried out dredging, underwater excavation, hull patching, dewatering, and towing preparations despite challenging weather conditions and rocky seabed terrain. Through careful planning, technical expertise, and strict safety procedures, the vessel was successfully refloated on 6 May 2023 and secured for temporary anchorage before being prepared for towing to Orion Dockyard, Bataan under a Special Permit to Navigate.
This successful project demonstrates FES Challenger’s capability to execute complex marine salvage operations involving grounded vessels, underwater structural repairs, environmental protection, and safe vessel recovery while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and operational excellence.
